How can I participate as a professional?
We are inviting psychologists to run a workshop for the 31st Annual Convention of the Psychological Association of the Philippines-Junior Affiliates (PAPJA) on January 26, 2019.
The PAPJA Convention is an annual gathering of Psychology undergraduate students in the Philippines. The convention serves as an important venue for the sharing of recent developments in the field of psychology as a science, exposure to the practice of psychology through workshops, exchange of ideas, and fellowship. The workshops are an integral part of the PAPJA Convention and seek to offer students from different parts of the country an opportunity to learn new skills and new knowledge they may otherwise not learn in the classroom. This year, the PAPJA will offer around 120 simultaneous workshops for more than 7,000 Psychology students from all over the Philippines.
A workshop is intended to develop specific skills or competencies in a particular area of practice in psychology. Though it should share new knowledge or expertise in an area of psychology, it is not meant to be a lecture or a sharing of research endeavor. All workshops will be held from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 1:00-4:00 in the afternoon of Saturday, 26 January 2019. The venue will be at National University, Manila. Facilitators should expect about 40 to 55 participants per workshop (depending on size of the available rooms). The PAPJA steering committee will endeavor to assign student-volunteers to designated room assignments.
Professionals interested in running a workshop need to send their workshop abstract (100 words or less) to papja.org.ph/papja-convention/abstract-submission/. The deadline for submission of the workshop form is on November 24, 2018. All workshop abstracts will be evaluated and screened by the PAPJA Workshop Committee. Selected workshops will be announced by December 7, 2018. All workshop facilitators will also be given an honorarium of P4000 for their generous sharing of their time and expertise.

How do I submit a workshop?
1. Fill out the Workshop Abstract Submission form
Click the "Proceed to Workshop Guidelines" button below to be redirected to the workshop guidelines. Read it thoroughly before clicking "Proceed to Workshop Abstract Form". Fill out the form with the correct details. Make sure the email you input is valid, as a confirmation email will be sent to this address.
2. Wait for an email confirmation
Once you submit your workshop abstract, PAPJA administrators will review and process your submission. You will be notified via email of the results as soon as possible. If your submission is rejected, you will be given feedback and further instructions. If your submission is approved, you will receive a confirmation and further instructions. Your approved workshop will also be published on the Workshops page, where participants can enlist in it.
